Sir William’s Blueberry Syrup

blueberry-2.jpgThis is wonderful on top of homemade whole wheat blueberry waffles.  😀   Of course, the syrup and the waffles taste best when made by the husband.

  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 TB pure maple syrup

Place in a small sauce pan.  Heat on low.  Stir often, until some of the berries are smashed and it has thickened slightly.  Do not over heat.  Pour over waffles.  Yum.  😛

  1. My hubby would love homemade blueberry syrup, he likes mixing it w/the maple on top of his waffles and pancakes. 😀

My kids won’t have anything to do w/blueberry syrup. Do your actually eat it?

Where do you get your pure maple syrup to use with this recipe?

  2. Elaine, Do my kids actually eat anything? NO. My kids do not eat blueberries. They won’t even try it on waffles. We buy pure maple syrup from Sam’s. 🙂
