Heat Index of 105…

What would you do?

Go camping!  And that is just what we did for three days and two nights.  We camped at Anastasia State Park.  There was a 50 to 70% chance of thunder storms for the weekend and a heat index of 105.  We went anyway.  Our tent is waterproof, right?

We Sir Husband had no trouble setting up the tent.

Or making dinner…

Or cleaning up.

Yes, I have a great husband, but don’t think he did all the work.  We cooked  too.

While the grill was heating up for dinner, the girls decided to warm their hands.  Yes, it is 95+ degrees outside.  I don’t know what is wrong with them, but I am sure it has something to do with their father’s DNA.

No rain in site.  It was very nice.  Hot, but nice.  Want to know how Florida families camp when it is near 100 degrees at night?

That’s right!  We use a fan…all…night…long.

This was our first day.  Good night folks!

  1. I would have loved electricity when we camped a few weeks ago. Of course, I did have a pop-up camper so I can’t complain. You look like camping pros…I like your blue water jug. Did the son come too or was he too cool to camp?

  2. I really enjoyed camping in FL when I was a kid. We went every summer for the first seven years of my life. When I was a baby, dad drove us around the perimeter of the entire state. Mom says I cried the whole way. lol I have cried a circle around FL. Your tent is nice looking. =) Orange by day and blue at night. I wonder why it looks blue?
