- 1 Basic Dough Recipe.
- 1/2 egg white, lightly beaten
- coarse salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a rope about 2 inches thick and cut crosswise into 16 pieces.
Roll each piece into a rope about 8 inches long, tapering the ends slightly. Form into a knot, brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with salt.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in upper third of oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
