SUCCULENT STEAK

  • 1 1/2lb round steak, cut 1/2 to 3/4″ thick
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 rsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 TB flour
  • 3 TB water
  • Mix together 1/4 cup flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    Dredge steak pieces in seasoned flour until lightly coated.
    Layer half of onions, half of steak, and half of mushrooms into cooker. Repeat.
    Combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over mixture in slow cooker.
    Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours.
    Remove steak to serving platter and keep warm. Mix together 2 TB flour and water. Stir into drippings and cook on HIGH until thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour over steak and serve.
