What you have been waiting for…

the disposal of The Gingerbread House.

The houses were moved to the back porch the first week of January.  I was sick of looking at them. While outside in the freezing weather, one of them lost its roof.  Some candy is missing too.  I think the dogs ate it.  See the funny looking square candies.  That happened two days after making the houses. Apparently the peppermint type candies do not like our humidity.  These were a sorry site within the first week and I had to look at them for a month!

We FINALLY disposed of them yesterday. WooHoo!  I think this disposal rates right up there with the structural modification device we used back in 2007.  Read on to find out what we did.

Yep, I had Sir Son throw those babies right in the garbage can.  Now if that isn’t excitement, I don’t know what is. 🙂

  1. NOOOOooooooooo…you can’t do that to us. No big explosion? No ginormous fire? No flaming arrows? What a let down. I expect better from you next year :).

  2. Whatever gets the job done! lol

  3. I got a word — Pitiful
    lol

  4. I read a blog the other day where a mom brought in a special demolition crew to take care of her ginger bread house….. twin 2 year old boys!! Those boys went to town to do their nasty deed. The price she paid for this service…..toddlers on a sugar high!

Glad you got rid of it.
I’d give you a bad time like Kristy did but we didn’t blow up any Christmas trees at church this year either due to a lack of real trees.

  5. You chose the easy route…the one I would have chosen. Tho not near as exciting!!

  6. I’m with Kristy, Blow it up next time. Would have been a great science project.

  7. Oh man! I am so disappointed. Bummer!
